Are you passionate about food, curious about how products are developed, and excited by the idea of seeing your work reach supermarket shelves? Ocean Fish Group is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Product Technologist to join our Retail Technical team in Cornwall.
From product development and quality to specifications and customer projects, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of activities, working with leading UK retailers and alongside experienced professionals. Whether you’re a recent graduate or taking your first steps in the food industry, this could be the opportunity to build something exciting.
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with our Technical, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams, you’ll be involved in:
- Supporting customer Technical requirements and communications.
- Preparing and maintaining product specifications, artwork and product information.
- Coordinating product samples, trials and new product launches.
- Supporting product quality investigations and customer complaints.
- Contributing to Technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, Technical, Quality or NPD is desirable, but graduates are welcome.
- HACCP Level 2 qualification. Basic understanding of food safety, product specifications and labelling.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital tools.
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, curious attitude and willingness to learn.
- Seafood experience is an advantage, but not essential.
